CHEN Wai Hei (HKG) wins silver in U19 Women's Double Sculls

  SHENYANG - CHEN Wai Hei from Hong Kong, China won the silver medal in the U19 Women's Double Sculls together with teammate Cheung Yuen Shan atthe 2025 Asian Rowing U19 and U23 Championships along the HunRiverhere Sunday morning.

  On their performance:

  I think we performed well as our regular training. We started increasing our stroke rates from 1,500 meters and followed our coach's instructions to make sprint paddling at the end, which helped us surpass Team Iran to win the silver.

  On the preparation:

  We teamed up only about a year. We made our debut in the event last year and ranked the fourth. This year we have improved a lot.

  On the weather condition of the day:

  It started as a crosswind, then became a tailwind shortly. It’s a smooth race overall. However, it’s a bit cooler than yesterday, so we needed more time to warm up.
